By: Christopher Nyerges
This DVD is part of a "Exploring Edible Wild Foods" series by Christopher Nyerges. He is the author of 7 books (including the Guide to Wild Foods and Enter the Forest), is the Editor of Wilderness Way Magazine, and has taught survival skills to over 30,000 students.
In this DVD you will learn how to identify and use common wild plants found anywhere in the U.S. Join Christopher as he explores a wild area and shows you common edible and medicinal plants. Some poisonous plants are shown as well as plants used to make fire. Watch Christopher Nyerges actually start a fire with plants. One hour in length.
This is not one of those tapes that looks like it was shot with a handy-cam and edited in the garage. It is a professional production. (No Returns).

THE FORAGER'S HARVEST - DVD
The Forager's Harvest DVD Set includes two discs covering all the plants discussed in Samuel Thayer's first book, The Forager's Harvest. The footage was shot by Brian Pierce over the course of three years as he accompanied Samuel on foraging adventures. Through hundreds of hours of editing, organizing, re-shooting, and planning in order to optimize the usefulness of the video to viewers, Brian created excellent DVDs that are both informative and fun. The entire production is narrated by Samuel Thayer. It also contains real-life footage of gathering and eating from the wild. In it, normal foraging is often interrupted for antics, to cover the bases regarding each plant: identification, where to find it, what stage to harvest it in, what parts to collect, how to get them, and how to use them.
