These Amber Glass Vials are ideal for re-packaging Potable Aqua iodine tablets so they will fit in mini survival kits. Although the manufacturer of Potable Aqua does not recommend re-packaging the tablets because it degrades the shelf life from 4 years to one year, many people building survival kits have been doing it for years. You just have to remember to restock your bottles once a year. These bottles are Amber, like the bottle used by the factory, and have special Teflon caps which are required for packaging iodine (Note: the caps may be black, blue, or white - no choice). The bottles are shown in comparison to the original Potable Aqua bottle. The smallest, to the right, is a 5/8 Dram bottle and will hold 20 tablets with room for cotton in the top. The center bottle, a 1 Dram, will hold 40 tablets with room for cotton in the top. Both bottles fit easily in an "Altoids" tin type survival kit.
