Original Busse INFI Steel Battle Mistress - used

This Original Busse Battle Mistress with straight handle was last produced in the late Nineties. All Busse Battle Mistress' since then have a curved handle. It has only been used in a chopping competition (it won) and has not been used or carried since. It has never been sharpened. Please look at the pictures to see its exact condition. Even used, this is a collectors item.

This is a large blade, 9.25 inches long, 1.875” wide, .25” thick and the knife measures 15.5” overall. It's an excellent chopper and can hold its edge for a very long time even when used real hard. The handle is olive green Micarta and the knife comes with a Kydex belt sheath.

What makes this knife unique is the INFI steel. So far, it's Busse proprietary and stands out for its incredible characteristics, including strength, toughness and the edge retention that leaves many high carbon competitors faaaaar behind. You can learn more about it here.

Another interesting detail, that distinguishes this knife from others is the edge grind. So called asymmetrical edge. Basically, one side is a convex grind & the other is a flat or V grind which makes it stronger than the standard V grind.
