Metal Rat Trap

A Metal Rat Trap can be used for more than just rats.It can be used in the field as a effective trap for small critters such as squirrel. These traps can be used over and over again. These traps are very powerful and have sharp edges on the bait pedal side to ensure what you catch doesn't get away, so you should use caution when setting them.  You can carry a couple in your food gathering kit for the field. As a suggestion: Drill a hole in one of the back corners (opposite end from the bait pedal) and wire the trap to a stake or sapling, so it is not dragged away! Weighs 3.4 oz.
